Aims:

To inform and to provide tips for surviving the recession.


Target user group:

Working adults / unemployed adults / recession survivors / recession sufferers.


Persona:

William Davis is a 31 year old married man who works as the director of finance and management department for a retail company. His main job is to ensure a high performing and fit-for-purpose organization.

He is very comfortable using a computer, an advanced Internet user, uses email extensively; accesses web about 3 hours a day for work. He keeps himself updated by read news feeds online. He spends quite a lot of time on sites which are related to business, economy, stocks and other similar sites.

He is fully aware of the current recession situation. Reading these negative headlines and news for almost everyday have made him anxious and afraid. He fears that if the company will collapse, then he will be in a huge financial mess. To help overcome his anxiety and look for possible solutions, he regularly visits Recession support group website where he can find tips, ideas and stories from previous and existing recession sufferers.

Preferences for the look and feel:

Include graphic images (e.g. graphs showing statistics) which are related to recession and include a section where people can share their experiences, tips or ideas about recession (e.g., a button “Share your story”).

Preferable colours – White, Black, and Blue.


To summarise, the main objective of the website is to act as a group support for recession survivors and recession sufferers. So apart from giving out information regarding recession e.g. what recession is and what it does to the world economy, there should be a section where users are able to share their stories, giving tips, ideas and guides to help people tackle their anxieties and fear over recession.
